For our CEO, Dafina Smith, that belief comes from decades in the professional hair industry. With textured but fine hair herself, she had tried every traditional method of extensions, but none worked. They were too heavy, too damaging, or too difficult for daily wear. She found her answer in halos—a much lighter extension designed with fine hair in mind. It wasn't just another extension—it was the first one that actually addressed her needs. 

Around her, friends were dealing with the same frustration—needing extensions that worked with their reality instead of complicating it. From long workdays and quick school pickups, women needed hair that could move with them, not hold them back. She saw how most were designed for style alone, with little thought to everyday wear or hair health, so she set out to change the industry's standards: extensions shouldn't just look good for a few hours—they should work for real hair, real life, and every stage in between.
